Dave Cole seems to be the only one having a consistent season so far. last year he finished the season 10th overall in 35+B and his best result was 4th, this year he's placing top three every race and currently leading the series by 68points.
the rest of us are having ups and downs, Dayna has a pulled hammy, jennie is feeling under the weather and I get flats and get sick or crash.
This weekend was a double, saturdays course used a motorcross track for a third of a lap, whoops, pump bumps and berms, kinda fun.. i felt sick and just rode the race for finishing points.
For those interested, here is Bjorn's schedule for the next 3 weeks as well as his WC recap:
November
01 Koppenberg GVA (U-23)
09 Pijnakker WC (U-23)
11 Niel GVA (U-23)
12 Depart to NY/NJ
15 USGP-Mercer NJ (C1)
16 USGP-Mercer NJ (C1)
From Bjorn;
This weekend had ups and downs for the Utah Ridley Team. While some of us sucumber to flats and crashes others rose to the top like the preverbial cream. Here in Utah Dave Cole rode to another fine 2nd place finish in the 35+ B class. last year Dave's best finish was 3rd, now he's holding down top five consitstenly.
We shipped Dayna out to Kentucky to crack some heads, here is her report, enjoy.

First USGP, First UCI ‘Cross Race… Kind of a Weekend of Firsts
The cross season got off to a rapid start and we're already done with our third race weekend of the Utah Cyclocross Series(UCS). As a team we've had our ups and downs but season is long and we still have 9 races to look forward to.
Our highlights came from UCS race #2, Dayna got her first ever W in the A race with Jennie holding down 4th, In the men's races Dave landed his best result thus far, 2nd in the 35+B and I managed 2nd In the A's.

I raced the Arizona State Masters race Sunday, December 9 with aspirations of a good warm up for the open race. Earlier in the week I got sick (for the first time in about a year) and was still sick at the start of the race. The field was small, and I figured I'd hang, not push at all, and look for the right time to pounce for a win. The course was wet (imagine that, here) with REALLY thick grass on parts, and a mushy dirt path on the upside. There was a single run-up with 2 barriers, and a double barrier set on the faster dirt section.
Womens A-
2nd-Dayna Deuter
6th-Jennie Wade
Mens A
2nd-Ali Goulet
Mens 35+A
6th- Linde Smith

This weekend Offered up low temps but no adverse weather, the Venue was
Wheeler Farm, for the third time this season. No one could ever
complain about Wheeler, it has everything and makes for fast racing
with courses that just don't allow you to ease up on the legs.
